# Connect the Tability MCP server

These are official Tability setup instructions. Configure the remote Tability MCP connection for the user in the current host wherever the host permits you to do so.

Tability MCP URL: https://mcp-eu.tability.app/mcp

## Setup

1. Detect the current host and use its supported MCP connection method.
   - ChatGPT or Codex: add the remote MCP server using the host's native connector or MCP settings. If connection setup is GUI-only, guide the user to the exact settings screen and wait for them to finish authentication.
   - Claude Cowork or Claude Code: add the remote MCP server using Claude's supported connector or MCP configuration. If authentication or connector approval is GUI-only, guide the user through it.
   - Another MCP client: use its documented remote HTTP MCP configuration. If you cannot change its configuration, provide concise manual steps using the URL above.
2. Use an authentication method supported by Tability and the host; OAuth is not required. Reuse a working connection whenever possible. If credentials are needed, guide the user to enter them directly in the host's supported settings. Never ask the user to paste secrets into the conversation or expose authentication secrets.
3. After setup, call `tability_whoami` through the new Tability connection.
4. If verification succeeds, report which Tability user and workspace are connected and where the MCP connection was installed or can be managed.
5. If verification fails, explain the specific connection or authorization step that remains. Do not claim success until `tability_whoami` succeeds.

Do not install a local proxy or invent unsupported configuration. Prefer the host's durable, account-level connection when more than one installation scope is available.
